HISTORY

Exceeding expectations for over 35 years.

Inspired by a vision from leaders at El Camino Hospital to create a new model for active retirement living, The Forum welcomed its first residents in 1991. Since then, thoughtful expansion including the Health Care Center, enhanced wellness amenities, Daffodil Ridge Memory Care, and modern dining venues, has helped shape one of the Bay Area's premier resident-owned Life Plan Communities.

Today, residents enjoy the confidence that comes with equity ownership, a full continuum of care, and a vibrant culture created by the people who call this place home.

Today, The Forum continues to be a thriving luxury senior living community where residents enjoy an engaging lifestyle enriched by wellness opportunities, lifelong learning, cultural experiences, and meaningful social connections. With more than 500 residents, over 30 groups and clubs, and two boards made up primarily of residents, it’s the people who call our community home that have helped shape our philosophy and establish The Forum as a premier retirement community known for its unrivaled sense of community.

FUTURE

Planning for every chapter.

As a continuing care retirement community, we understand the value and importance in planning for the future while supporting our residents’ active, independent lifestyles today. We are embracing new opportunities to expand our community’s offerings and services through advanced technology and tools while honoring our heritage. Through these efforts, The Forum will continue to be a place where residents thrive for generations to come.

Testimonial

“Within moments of walking through our doors, current residents will always say hello to you, or a staff member stops to see how you're doing. There’s a friendliness, a warmth, and a sense of community that I don't always see in other senior living communities.”

- Nancy Kao, Executive Director
