SUSTAINABILITY

Better for residents. Better for the planet.

We don’t pretend to be perfect, but we’re proud of the progress we’ve made toward being more sustainable for the next generation of residents. While this is just a glimpse of our efforts here at The Forum at Rancho San Antonio, here’s a few resident-led initiatives we’re proud of.

1,5000,000 kWh/yr

generated by on-site solar panels

21,552 KGs

of greenhouse gas emissions avoided through EV charging ports

100%

of community areas lit by energy-efficient LED lighting

98%

compliance with removing single-use plastics from operational use

SOLAR ENERGY

Smart for business and the planet.

Providing one-third of The Forum’s total electricity use, these smart energy solutions will save our community up to $400,000 per year over the life of our vendor contract.

WASTE REDUCTION

Eliminating single-use plastics.

As we near our goal of 100% elimination of single-use plastics, we’ve created innovative strategies, such as reusable to-go meal containers, and have even achieved significant cost savings by introducing mesh bags for the pickup and delivery of sheets and towels.

EV CHARING

Powering for what’s next.

As we continue to work toward a full EV community company fleet, we’re encouraging more EV purchases and supporting EV ownership among new residents. We are in the final permitting process to install Level 2 charging stations in 25 designated spaces across our five parking garages.

There's certainly a feeling around here, and I think it's captured by the fact that sustainability is in our mission statement. That we all really do want to leave the planet in a little better shape than we found it.
